U of U First Tenant in New Sugar House Development

Salt Lake City—Westport Capital Partners, on behalf of certain funds it manages, announced a lease with University of Utah Health for the investment firm’s new Sugar House development located at 2290 South 1300 East. U of U Health will occupy one of two office buildings in the new project as the sole tenant of 170,000 square feet in the building on the southeast corner of the development. “University of Utah Health is the perfect partner for the Sugar House community,” said Principal & Portfolio Manager for Westport Capital Partners, Greg Geiger. “Early on in the planning process we sought feedback from the community on what they wanted to see in the area. One of the key themes we heard was that Sugar House really needs more daytime users for existing retail and dining establishments. The new University facility will not only provide easy access to top-notch medical services, but more than 200 employees and hundreds of visitors will come into the area each day who will shop, dine and support local businesses – infusing the economy and strengthening this growing community.”
